摘要: Abstract The processes of air introduction, fuel injection, ignition, and combustion are investigated optically in simulated diesel engine prechambers mounted on a rapid compression machine. During the stroke velocities at edge center one order 20 15 m/s, respectively. airflow, therefore, is more complex than solid-body rotation. injection spray strongly deflected by airflow hits glow plug wall opposite injector. Fuel evaporation air-fuel mixing begin 0.3–0.5 ms after start but not complete within ignition delay period (1–1.5 ms). Hence occur times when both liquid gaseous exist prechamber. This located volume surfaces Combustion luminous implies significant soot formation
