摘要: Abstract Prior research is equivocal concerning the relationships between religious involvement and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The literature indicates limited evidence of denomination differences in prevalence OCD whereas findings regarding degree religiosity are equivocal. This study builds on prior by examining relation to diverse measures within National Survey American Life, a nationally representative sample African Black Caribbean adults. Bivariate multivariate analyses (logistic regression) examine relationship lifetime denomination, service attendance, non-organizational (e.g., prayer, media) subjective religiosity, coping. Frequent attendance was negatively associated with OCD, Catholic affiliation (as compared Baptist) coping (prayer when dealing stressful situations) were both positively OCD.
