摘要: The NO+(v) absorption coefficient and quenching of NO+ vibration in the v=1 v=2 states by N2 have been experimentally determined. Integrated coefficients corrected for a thermal equilibrium distribution are: S1u(1–2 P 5) =430 cm−2 atm−1 S1u(2–3 R2) =653 cm−2 atm−1. Quenching at 297 °K was found to give rates k=2.5×10−12 cm−3 sec−1 NO+(v=2) k=3.0 ×10−12 cm3 sec−1 NO+(v=1). An estimate 3 ×10−13 NO 297 °K.
