摘要: Abstract A 54 year old white man with hypertension, obesity and an elevated serum cholesterol level volunteered for a physical training program. During the sixth week he became ill, repeated work-capacity test revealed physiologic evidences of myocardial insufficiency. The pre-exercise glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase was elevated. routine electrocardiogram four hours later evidence acute inferoseptal infarction. course disease uneventful uncomplicated. Two months after infarction patient resumed activity program which provided slow increase in metabolic demands compatible his capacity. Repeated tests 20 23 weeks showed that responded to exactly same manner as has been observed normal, healthy individuals. At time normotensive, normal concentration near-normal body weight. capacity adequate cardiorespiratory adjustments high rated “good.” This study illustrates how performance can be used evaluating work progress cardiac patient.
