Water Scarcity in the Twenty-first Century

摘要: As we approach the next century, more than a quarter of world's population or third in developing countries live regions that will experience severe water scarcity. This paper reports on study to project supply and demand for 118 over 1990-2025 period. The nature geographic focus growing scarcity are identified. In semi-arid Asia Middle East, which include some major breadbaskets world, ground table is falling at an alarming rate. There urgent need attention both professionals policy makers problems depletion, must be seen as threat food security coming century.
