摘要: Recent progress in X-ray magnetic circular dichroism allows us to probe induced magnetism with element specificity and monolayer sensitivity. Here, we demonstrate polarization of the 5d elements Pt, Ir W 3d V at interfaces ferromagnets Ni Fe. Pt are shown be ferro- while anti-ferromagnetically coupled or Spin, orbital total moments obtained trends deduced. Monolayer-resolved moment profiles for whole multilayer period compared ab initio calculations. Finally, deal problem interface Fe discuss necessity performing controllable growth situ measurements a basic understanding magnetism.
