摘要: Abstract In the present study, effects of water injection (WI) into intake air on performance and exhaust emissions were experimentally investigated in a Renault K9K 700 type turbocharged common-rail DI automotive diesel engine. Experiments performed at different loads engine speeds, with various ratios (WRs). The was injected by carburetor, which main nozzle section is adjustable, approximately 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% 10% (by vol.) ratios. It determined that, WI specified decreases significantly smoke index K NOx emission improves somewhat performance. Smoke increasing WRs 2000, 2500 3000 rpm. Its maximum reduction ratio obtained as 41.75% for 11.71% WR At chosen increases, decreases. More significant has been after 6% WR. For full load (149 N m) 2500 rpm, decrement attained 12.489% 9.400% Water addition results insignificant effect brake specific fuel consumption (bsfc) these speeds bsfc takes values close to neat (NDF) or increases slightly. However, 4% selected 3500 rpm. does not show any change in-cylinder pressure indicated power.
