摘要: Preoperative breast cancer diagnosis on core biopsies has become a standard of care in many countries. Controversies exist concerning the accuracy HER2 testing as compared with surgical specimens, and few data use emerging technologies such bright-field in-situ hybridization setting. A French multicenter, cross-sectional, histopathological study assessed concordance status determined by immunohistochemistry silver (SISH) or chromogenic (CISH) core-needle fluorescence (FISH) specimens. The between biopsy operative results was also for each method. We studied 260 tumors from 24 centers April 2003 August 2009. Excellent (κ: 0.92–0.97) shown FISH low discordance rates (2–4%), high specificity (97–98%) sensitivity values (95–99%), no significant difference according to interpretation guidelines used. correlation SISH CISH samples strong 0.96 0.94, respectively), false negative (2 5%, 99 96%, 98 98%, respectively). Whatever evaluation technique, excellent specimens observed (κ ⩾0.97; 1 2%), (98–99%) (98–100%). Based these results, when cannot be used, and/or could proposed an alternative method determine confirm any ambiguous either preoperative percutaneous They used quality controls calibration.
