摘要: Motivation: Cartilage is a robust but flexible connective tissue found in most joints of the body. The collagen fibres present extracellular matrix cartilage contribute to its tensile strength and stiffness. purpose this study develop implement methods determine orientation anisotropy 3-D images gen- erated with multi-photon microscopy. motivation behind developing these techniques improve foundation for further studies on understanding characteristics matrix. This turn would give better artificial matrices mechanical models, as well diagnostics. Material methods: two developed are based analysing frequency domain. One an expansion previous method by Chaudhuri et al. In addition generated domains made accuracy methods. Results conclusion: not very robust. For cases there one specific that has Instead quite large minimum area. shows promising results. managed find correct both sets, real images. seems like no nor except thresholding, needed still anisotropy. only remark automatically value low samples. can probably be improved making slight change process choosing
