摘要: The consequence of a change from mixed to lacto-vegetarian diet for 12 months on some microflora associated characteristics (conversion cholesterol, degradation mucin and short chain fatty acid pattern) as well bacterial enzyme activities ( β -glucuronidase , -glucosidase sulphatase) were studied in faecal samples 20 healthy volunteers. Consumption fruits, berries, vegetables, milk products, cereals herbal tea increased during the period, carbohydrate fibre intake followed same pattern. An opposite pattern, i.e. decreased consumption period was demonstrated meat, fish, eggs, coffee, sweets alcoholic beverages, similar pattern seen protein fat intake. However, 3 years later, most volunteers reverted back their previous behaviour. Significant alterations detected functions related compounds deriving (short activities) whereas mainly host itself (cholesterol mucin) seemed be stable. Keywords : diet, normal microflora, flora function, characteristics.
