摘要: This chapter presents a state of the art review and research challenges in modeling flood propagation floodplain inundation. The for inundation models are directly linked to representation flow processes, formulation theoretical physical laws practical considerations. First, we various structures coupled spatially distributed hydrological-hydraulic corresponding spatial processes. Second, present basis 1-D 2-D Saint-Venant “shallow water” equations with overbank flow, approximation such as Diffusive Wave Kinematic then discuss domains limits applications each type models. Practical considerations numerical solution schemes, boundary conditions model parameterization, calibration, validation uncertainty analysis were also considered. Finally, discussion addresses guiding modeler, according principle parsimony, seeking simplest strategy capable (i) realistic (ii) matching performances more complex (iii) providing right answers reasons.
