摘要: We present Compton-scattering studies on the high-momentum components of valence electron momentum density in beryllium. The experiments were performed with incident photon energies 29 and 56 keV a space resolution 0.10 0.16 a.u. units momentum, respectively. temperature dependence Compton profile studied within range 40--850 K. energy was scattering vector along [110] reciprocal lattice vector. compare experimental profiles to empirical local pseudopotential computations that take into account both thermal expansion disorder. position intensity as function solid beryllium found be quite small, which suggests wave functions are not significantly affected by This proves previously observed broadening comparison highly accurate theoretical is due disorder, other reasons, e.g., correlation, need sought source broadening.
