摘要: The discharge buildup in a long Homopolar-type rotating device with mirror-shaped magnetic field was investigated by time-resolved measurements of the current and potential distributions, combination image- converter camera pictures. ratio cyclotron collision frequency for electrons much larger than unity, filling gases were H2, N2, He, Ne Ar at 10-2torr. An exponential increase observed between 10-1 102 A, within wide range E/B. rate growth H2 could be compared known values electron impact ionization crossed fields. For other it is shown that under certain experimental conditions positive ions can important.
