Florid cystic endosalpingiosis of the uterus

摘要: A 73 year old woman presented with a right sided adnexal cystic mass. At laparotomy, this proved to be benign serous ovarian cyst and an aggregation of thin walled subserosal soft tissue cysts spongy nodules up 16 mm in diameter involving the side wall uterus adjacent parametrium. These were removed by total abdominal hysterectomy bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. Histologically, spaces smaller acini lined tubo-endometrioid epithelium, areas typical differentiation rare microfoci endocervical-type mucinous epithelium. features indicated multidirectional Mullerian process that, overall, was consistent so called florid endosalpingiosis. This lesion is distinguished from other conditions including multicystic mesothelioma, endometriosis, endocervicosis, deep glands uterine cervix, Nabothian cervix.
