摘要: Abstract Pulsating radar echoes observed from Bluff, New Zealand, during the I.G.Y. are examined. The pulsations exhibit a diurnal variation in occurrence, periods dependent on latitude and onset times planetary K-index. These features, combined with period range of 1–9 min an association magnetic activity, suggest hydromagnetic excitation mechanism outer magnetosphere.
