摘要: Abstract This paper concludes a series on the formation and development of near-wake model horizontal-axis wind. The three-dimensional mean velocity turbulence fields were obtained at six axial locations within two chord lengths blades for three operating conditions: stalled flow over blades, close to optimum performance, approaching runaway. Here we concentrate tip hub vortices. For second third conditions, vortex quickly becomes sheet vorticity spread cylindrical centrebody. It is suggested that ‘trailing vorticity’ formed by skewing circumferential in upstream boundary layer as it encounters so ‘bound’ simply passes through centrebody surface. vortices, which shown Part 2 contain increasing amounts angular momentum speed ratio increases, are associated with large variations all components high levels turbulence. pitch helical vortices decreases ratio.
