摘要: Regression testing has two shared goals. The prime one would be to help building a bug free application, while the other equally important goal could maintain healthiness of an existing system. If emphasis is on first objective, that conventionally named as regression for fix, and if otherwise, it termed risk. former implicates activities destined verify entire software development process validate end product. later centers retaining wellbeing product by periodically checking its quality, make sure still meets standards requirements. This article, which part ongoing PhD dissertation in computer science Inter-University Program at Universidad Azteca Central de Nicaragua (UCN) Mexico City - Managua Nicaragua, attempts redefine focusing aforesaid details. To this end, related literatures have been reviewed. Best industry practices also assessed analyzed. 50 expertise from various levels walks skill sets involved through questionnaire, discussions, interviews. finding reaffirms fix functional directed examine done properly, defect resolved no aftermaths. By same token, redefines risk recurrent routed check ability expectations. testing, therefore, umbrella term encompassing, least, both above.
