摘要: We examined how population age affects the relative importance of clonal propagation and sexual reproduction in aquatic macrophyte Sparganium errectum. Plants were collected from two newly established populations four successionally mature populations. The comparison life history traits associated with multiplication was carried out a controlled environment experiment. found that several physiological trade-offs occurred between propagation. Moreover, we higher investment than older These results suggest is favoured at level while, because seeds produced by are only means for long distance dispersal, selection will favour metapopulation level. This discrepancy selective pressures different spatial scales could maintenance mixed sexual-asexual reproductive system erectum.
