摘要: Mapping and monitoring salt marshes in the Netherlands are important activities of Ministry Public Works (Rijkswaterstaat). The Survey Department (Meetkundige Dienst) produces vegetation maps using aerial photographs. However, it is a time-consuming expensive activity. accuracy conventional map derived photograph interpretation (API) estimated to be approximately 43%. An alternative method demonstrated that uses an expert system combine airborne hyperspectral imagery with terrain data from radar altimetry. generated by increased 66%. When alone was used classify coastal wetlands, 40% achieved - comparable API-derived map. analysis efficiency proposed showed speed production new method. This means digital image classification objective repeatable superior API
