摘要: The accumulation of heavy metals and its impact on the C/N ratio Avicennia marina Patalganga Amba estuaries were studied. Vadinar was selected as a relatively uncontaminated location for comparison. Cd accumulated in leaves estuarine mangroves; however, at it arrested only roots stems. Negative correlation Cr, Cd, Pb Zn with C mangroves suggested that their may lead to lowered content mangroves. average ratios inner estuary, mouth, estuary found be 80.1 ± 7.3, 105.8 12.5 52.4 3.4 respectively, whereas well within expected range (26.4 2.8). results present study suggest: (i) metal accumulation, leading less carbon plants; (ii) enrichment root zone sediment, affecting uptake nitrogen by plants resulting altered ratio.
