摘要: Maintaining slot clock synchronization in a baseband pulse position modulated (PPM) communication link is vital to its performance. This paper examines the clocking design associated with direct detection, photodetecting optical PPM system. Although theoretical synchronizers for links have been derived past, there still interest finding more practical, simpler, and easier-to-implement subsystems. In this several types of practical are considered. A basic involving analog correlators gating presented, along an indication Several alternative designs also including digital which time samples used loop control. The advantage systems that extensive processing can be handled software, allowing perform closer ideal. Design procedures optimal laser shaping filtering discussed. Performance terms models tracking error variance included.
