摘要: The problem of surface waviness in ElastoHydrodynamic Lubrication is commonly considered as a first step towards understanding the lubrication rough surfaces. Both problems are generally transient. current paper investigates deformation sinusoidal contact, more precisely it studies amplitude reduction one-sided transient EHL line contact. film thickness at X = 0 called A d (deformed amplitude). It shown that for amplitudes smaller than i H c , ratio / independent undeformed . In other words: small deformed depends linearly on initial Rather surprisingly, same behaviour found > results show qualitatively with short wavelengths λ/ b ≃ Long contrary, disappear nearly completely: ≪ thus 0. However, quantitatively was to depend also contact operating conditions. With generalized coordinate ∇, instead relative can be described by single function ∇ all conditions: F (∇),∀( M, L ). possible way expressing is:∇ bM 3/4 1/2
