Kurtines, Major This study was conducted to determine the effects of Changing Lives Program intervention on troubled adolescents' feelings personal expressiveness, believed be one domain positive identity development. Forty-three and twenty nonintervention comparison control participants were given a battery pre-, post-, follow-up assessments including Personally Expressive Questionnaire (Waterman, 1995), which used derive participants' expressiveness scores. Using Repeated Measures Analysis Multivariate (RMANOVA), significant four-way interaction Time X Condition Gender Ethnicity found relative Control, Roy's 0 = .166, F(2,47) 3.899, p < .027 indicating that did increase significantly group. Furthermore, results suggest differential outcomes based ethnicity, suggesting need for future with respect specificity mechanisms formation in differing ethnic subgroups.
