摘要: This paper presents a shape-adaptive wavelet coding technique for arbitrarily shaped still texture. includes discrete transforms (SA-DWTs) and extensions of zerotree entropy (ZTE) embedded (EZW) coding. Shape-adaptive is needed efficiently visual objects, which essential object-oriented multimedia applications. The challenge to achieve high efficiency while satisfying the functionality representing One features SA-DWTs that number coefficients after identical pixels in original object. Another feature SA-DWT spatial correlation, locality properties transforms, self-similarity across subbands are well preserved SA-DWT. Also, rectangular region, becomes conventional transforms. For same reason, extentions ZTE EZW objects carefully treat "don't care" nodes trees. Comparison with other schemes shows always achieves better than schemes. implementation has been included new standard MPEG-4 Software also available.
