摘要: Older parents of an adult child coping with a mental disorder that is expressed by violent deviant behavior face significant parenting challenges. The purpose this article to explore the ways older exposed abuse their children (ACMD) perceived child's along life course. In qualitative-phenomenological study, 16 aged 58 90 were interviewed in depth. Three major themes emerged: (a) ongoing total care for needs course, (b) constructions and perceptions through years-Parents over two continua, reflecting experience behavior: as more harmed versus harmful, normative pathological-and (c) parent's emotional world toward harmed-harmful child. findings enable deeper understanding various which cope living behaviors ACMD. Hence, study can serve framework developing tailored differential intervention methods.
