摘要: A thermodynamic model was developed to understand the role of charge compensation at interlayer interfaces in compositionally graded monodomain ferroelectric multilayers. The polarization mismatch between layers generates depoling fields with each layer varying from its bulk uncoupled value as adapt electrical boundary conditions. By treating strength electrostatic field a phenomenological parameter, it is shown that if there are localized charges compensate for and relax depolarization fields, behave independently other exhibit dielectric response can be described sum their corresponding intrinsic properties. For perfectly insulating heterostructures no charges, minimized by lowering difference layers, yielding multilayer behaves were single material. There exists an optimum coupling which average maximized. Furthermore, multilayers may display colossal dependant upon interactions.
