Antibiotics and ribosomes: interaction and resistance.

摘要: This session was convened by Dr Joyce Sutcliffe (Pfizer Central Research, Groton, CT, USA) and R Leclerq (Hopital Cote de Nacre, Caen, France), with the assistance of Committee Member Advisor, Patrice Courvalin (Institut Pasteur, Paris, France). It included several presentations in which recent advances on understanding interactions antibiotics ribosome, mechanisms action such drugs, were discussed. The majority speakers focused antibiotic interaction large ribosomal subunit. Exciting new developments field research highlighted publication, just weeks before conference, high-resolution crystallographic structures small subunits.
