摘要: Summary When excised epicotyl segments of Pisum are incubated for periods up to 24 hours in 0.01 M potassium maleate they exhibit a considerable increase their ability absorb and esterify phosphate. In comparison, hypocotyl Gossypium Helianthus subjected similar treatments show no change The difference response is attributed differences between the species themselves rather than morphological nature. It possible reduce magnitude rate phosphate uptake occurring epicotyls by increasing concentration outside medium. This reaction closely resembles that which occurs when slices potato tuber similarly treated. contrast slices, respiration decreased during incubation period. accompanied an sulphate absorption protein synthesis. Other results showed fresh tissue limited different systems. would appear its diffusion into tissue, whilst absorbed metabolic activity segment.
