摘要: Abstract Purpose The aim was to compare outcome after extraoral vertical subcondylar osteotomy (EVSO) with rigid fixation and bilateral sagittal split (BSSO) for correction of mandibular prognathism. objectives were examine treatment factors, postoperative results, long-term stability. surgical technique EVSO is presented in detail. Subjects methods Lateral cephalograms information from patient files 65 consecutively operated patients matching BSSO analyzed preoperatively, postoperatively, 6 months 3 years. Results No clinically significant differences observed retromandibular scar inferior the earlobe on average 25 mm long 1 mm wide, no concern most patients.
