Scale-up synthesis of ZnO nanorods for printing inexpensive ZnO/polymer white light-emitting diode

摘要: In this study, possibilities of scaling up the synthesis zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods (NRs) by hydrothermal method have been explored. It was found that batches yielding several grams can easily be made using common and available materials. Further, a printable composition fabricated mixing obtained ZnO NRs into solvent-based screen varnish. Scanning electron microscope, high-resolution transmission X-ray diffraction, UV–vis spectroscopy analysis scaled batch indicated nanostructures were shape, well crystalline having less defects. Using NRs-based device fabrication on flexible substrate demonstrated, producing light-emitting being highly tolerant to bending.
