A simple method for the purification of 5-aminosalicylic acid. Application of the product as substrate in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).

摘要: Commercially available 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-AS) was recrystallised in the presence of Na2S2O5. A completely colourless solution obtained when purified product dissolved at a concentration 1 mg/ml phosphate buffer containing EDTA and H2O2. No significant increase absorption found upon storage for 18 h 4 degrees C. 8-fold sensitivity an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay detection rotavirus antigens demonstrated by using modified substrate instead conventional crude 5-AS. In addition, P/N values did not significantly change between 2 after addition substrate, thus rendering time reading less critical. difference 5-AS ortho-phenylenediamine (OPD). However, since OPD requires special care handling is preferred use routine ELISAs.
