Modeling the effects of point and non-point source pollution on a diversion channel from Yellow River to an artificial lake in China.

摘要: The Dragon lake diversion channel (DLDC) is the only river that recharges Lake, an artificial in China. This paper examines main factors influencing water quality by investigating point source and non-point pollutants along route. Based on complicated system of rivers desilting basins, a three-dimensional model using environmental fluid dynamics code (EFDC) was developed. DLDC calibrated verified observed data. error ranges level, total phosphorus, nitrogen chemical oxygen demand were within 5%, 10%, 16% 20%, respectively, all which meet precision requirement. employed to predict concentrations stream under current pollution loads year flood lasting for 24 hours. results revealed sources influence waterways followed sources. Water improved when large quantities delivered this trend can be described as dilution. Dongfeng meets requirement; however, River somewhat poor, Wei seriously contaminated. To address these problems, we suggest adopt culvert its riverbeds.
