摘要: Background The objective of this work is to evaluate a new concept intraoperative three-dimensional (3D) visualization system support hepatectomy. Resection Map aims provide accurate cartography for surgeons, who can therefore anticipate risks, increase their confidence and achieve safer liver resection. Methods In an experimental prospective cohort study, ten consecutive patients admitted hepatectomy three European hospitals were selected. Liver structures (portal veins, hepatic tumours parenchyma) segmented from recent computed tomography (CT) study each patient. surgeon planned the resection preoperatively read as reference guidance during procedure. Objective (amount bleeding, tumour margin operating time) subjective parameters retrieved after case. Results Three different surgeons operated on seven with navigation aid Map. Veins displayed in identified surgical procedure 70.1% cases, depending mainly size. Surgeons able track progress experienced improved orientation increased Conclusions pragmatic solution enhance surgeon. Further studies are needed demonstrate improvement patient safety.
