Surgical Dilemmas in Diverticular Disease: Management of Transplant Patients

摘要: Transplant patients are at risk for a variety of gastrointestinal complications due to long-term immunosuppression. One such complication is colonic perforation in the setting diverticular disease. While complicated diverticulitis has been reported heart, lung, and kidney transplant patients, here we report first case sigmoid patient after an orthotopic liver transplant. We also present where can progress free immunosuppression patients. Although not associated with increased development disease, only increases disease but masks clinical signs symptoms. Therefore, vague symptoms abdominal pain should be evaluated followed vigilantly perforation.
