摘要: Abstract A solid–liquid extraction method is developed to establish the contents of selenium in breast cancer biopsies. The based on ultrasound-assisted from pretreated biopsies prior Se determination by atomic absorption spectrometry with longitudinal-Zeeman background correction. Fifty-one were collected Cies Hospital (Vigo, Spain), 32 which correspond tumor tissue and 19 normal (parenchyma). Difficulties arising samples analyzed, i.e. small mass (50–100 mg), extremely low sample texture modification including hardening due formaldehyde preservation are addressed overcome. High intensity sonication using a probe together addition hydrogen peroxide succeeded completely extracting multiple injection technique was useful tackle present some detection limit 25 ng g−1 precision, expressed as relative standard deviation, less than 10%. ranged 0.08 0.4 μg g−1 for parenchyma 0.09 0.8 μg g−1 samples. In general, levels higher compared adjacent patients factor up 6. Analytical data confirmed accumulation tumors.
