摘要: The complement system, originally described as the bactericidal entity of serum, is now well accepted an inflammatory mediator system. When activated, e.g. by antigen-antibody complexes (classical pathway) or bacterial cell surfaces (alternative pathway), mediators with pro-inflammatory activities are generated (Figure 1, Table 1). most important appears to be C5a, known for its chemotactic activity and ability trigger release secondary from neutrophils monocytes. Furthermore, C3b generated, which a short time has capacity bind covalently surfaces. There, it triggers receptor-carrying cells such monocytes proteolytic enzymes. In Arthus reaction (a classical model inflammation), deposits indicating activation seen at site reaction, together neutrophil infiltration (for review see refs. 2).
