Controlled environment unit in the care of the below-knee amputation stump

摘要: A controlled environment unit has been compared with plaster dressings in the management of below knee stump 60 patients undergoing amputation for advanced vascular disease. The main criteria were healing and speed rehabilitation. There 30 each group. Three died within 10 days operation. Primary was obtained 65 per cent, secondary 22 cent revision to above required 13 cent. no statistically significant differences between two groups. Neither did they differ times taken reach various stages rehabilitation from bed exercises independent walking final prosthesis. While as effective dressing it tended impede patients' early mobility hinder nursing care. In particular is not recommended who may be confused or restless postoperative period.
