摘要: A concern is growing over the accumulation of trace contaminants in rice, a plant which has been estimated to supply 50% caloric intake world’s population. Contamination with arsenic (As) and other elements have shown many areas including U.S. rice poses potential risk human health. This research investigated selected (As), selenium (Se), molybdenum (Mo) cadmium (Cd) as six cultivars two control soils common south central field study was completed evaluate impact As content soil, irrigation management cultivar on total grain element accumulation. Results indicated soil amended monosodium methanearsonate (MSMA) increased Se, but decreased Mo under all treatments. Grain-Cd for most MSMA-amended soil. In addition, intermittent flooding significantly grain-As, Se Mo, Cd. Greenhouse studies were also phosphate application iron oxide amendments concentrations As, Correlations between soil-As studied. that grain-As concentration directly proportional concentration, no substantial concentration. Iron reduced rice. increasing grain-Se Cd, grain-Mo
