摘要: The use of recombinant elastin-like materials, or recombinamers (ELRs), in drug-delivery applications is reviewed this work. Although ELRs were initially used similar ways to other, more conventional kinds polymeric carriers, their unique properties soon gave rise systems unparalleled functionality and efficiency, with the stimuli responsiveness ability self-assemble readily allowing creation advanced systems. However, nature likely most important factor that has driven current breakthrough ELR-based delivery Recombinant technology allows an unprecedented degree complexity macromolecular design synthesis. In addition, materials easily incorporate any functional domain present natural proteins. Therefore, can exhibit complex interactions both drug load tissues cells towards which directed. Selected examples, ranging from highly nanocarriers macrodepots, will be presented.
