摘要: Abstract There have been many experiments that determined the wetting behavior of liquids on low-energy solid surfaces. These show that, in general, contact angle, θ, measured through liquid, increases with increasing liquid–vapor surface tension, σlv. Surprisingly, some such surfaces, angle a drop appears to depend almost entirely tension and very little other properties liquid. To gain insight into this phenomenon, we used generalized van der Waals theory model diverse series substrate calculate corresponding tensions angles. We find it is indeed possible reproduce similar seen experiments, data for cos θ plotted versus σlvfalling narrow band which could be interpreted as smooth curve. The width our calculation depends ranges parameters details molecular interactions.
