摘要: A fixed path ultrasonic unit based on the method of Schulz [Z. angew. Phys. 7, 144 (1955)] is described which can be used for measuring acoustic wave velocities and losses in liquids as a function temperature hydrostatic pressure. Careful transducer design makes possible measurements at frequencies high 200 mc/sec low loss liquids. simple phase balance technique insures order accuracy velocity determinations. Illustrative data carbon tetrachloride, Dow Corning DC‐703 DC‐200 silicone fluids, water are shown. Determination freezing points using waves indication also discussed briefly.
