Minor and trace element chemistry of carbonates, apatites and magnetites in some African carbonatites

摘要: In calcites and dolomites in seven African carbonatites, SrO, FeO MnO occur concentrations from 1 to 2 wt.%, whereas Ce, Y, Cu Zn only at the ppm level. Sr, Ce Y partition preferentially into calcite relative co-existing dolomite, Fe Mn favour dolomite. Sr partitions co-exisiting apatite, but light rare-earth elements apatite. Magnetite Kerimasi contains up 13 wt.% MgO 6 MnO, extending known ranges composition of magnetites carbonatites.
