摘要: To understand the dietary ecology of leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis), DNA analysis was performed to identify prey species using isolated from teeth harvested faeces this feline species. From 70 samples, a total 52 mitochondrial (mtDNA) cytochrome b (cytb) gene sequences mammals were identified. The results sequence identity test indicated that those derived four rodent (Apodemus agrarius, Apodemus peninsulae, Eothenomys regulus and Tamias sibiricus) two shrew (Crocidura lasiura Crocidura shantungensis). contained nine unique cytb site 1 13 2. These indicate hunts rodents shrews, at least animals 2 eaten. findings suggest animal molecular signatures remain undigested in may provide useful ecological information about food items contribute better ...
