摘要: Nukacin ISK-1 is a type-A(II) lantibiotic produced by Staphylococcus warneri ISK-1. In this study, we characterized NukM and NukT, which are predicted to be involved in modification of prepeptide (NukA) cleavage leader peptide subsequent secretion respectively. Localization analysis NukT the wild-type strain indicated that both proteins were located at cytoplasm membrane. Interestingly, expressed heterologously St. carnosus TM300 was also membrane even absence NukT. Yeast two-hybrid assay showed complex least two each associated with NukA. vitro interaction surface plasmon resonance biosensor further suggested membrane-located interacted These results indicate form multimeric protein post-translational nukacin would occur
