摘要: This paper evaluates the impact of economic and legal variables on wage differentials between men women. Since Becker (1957) economists have argued that competitive markets eliminate discrimination in long run. On other hand, practically all countries enacted some sort law mandating equal treatment uses a new international data set gender gap, which is constructed via meta-analysis existing studies. The findings show both increased competition enactment laws reduce gap.
