摘要: Background The use of a phoropter for measuring phorias and vergences in children is common the optometric profession. For young children, can be confusing, making it difficult to obtain accurate measurements. Free space testing allows direct observation eyes natural environment easier understand directions. normal values used with are derived from or free measurements mostly adult patients. Methods Benton-IU Project was large multidisciplinary study factors affecting school performance conducted by Indiana University School Optometry Department Speech Hearing cooperation Benton Community Corporation (Benton County, Indiana). This project allowed authors data on modified Thorington prism bar nonselected group first fourth graders as part an eye/vision examination. Results In this report, central tendency variability statistics reported based Study. Conclusion presented report optometrists when deciding if patient’s within limits through grades.
