Paroxysmal dysarthria and ataxia after midbrain infarction

摘要: The authors describe a patient who showed paroxysmal dysarthria and right-limb ataxia after midbrain infarction. SPECT imaging marked hypoperfusion in the left parietal lobe while was having frequent attacks. After treatment with phenytoin, symptoms improved. conclude that dysfunction of cerebellothalamocortical pathway infarction may cause ataxia.
