On the ecology of Cotula coronopifolia L. and Ranunculus sceleratus L. I. Geographic distribution, habitat, and field observations

摘要: SUMMARY The literature on the geographic distribution and habitat of Cotula coronopifolia L. Ranunculus sceleratus is reviewed, observations population development these species during their colonization Zuid Flevoland, a new polder in The Netherlands, are reported. A discussion also given some ecological characteristics indicating that C. coronopifolia, neophyte Europe introduced from southern Africa, less adapted to its than R. sceleratus, which explains ephemeral behaviour former species.
