摘要: A matrix of Silicon Photo Multipliers has been developed for light readout from a large area 1 in. × LaBr3 crystal. The system characterized in the laboratory and its performance compared to that conventional photo multiplier tube. pulse duration 100 ns was achieved, which opens up spectroscopy applications at high counting rates. energy resolution measured using radioactive sources extrapolates 3%–4% range Eγ = 3–5 MeV, enabling gamma-ray measurements good resolution. results reported here are relevance view development compact detectors with capabilities, such as an enhanced camera power fusion plasmas, where use photomultiplier is impeded by space limitation sensitivity magnetic fields.
