摘要: Spectroscopic measurements of low-n Balmer line profiles atomic hydrogen and deuterium, emitted within the edge region TEXTOR-94 tokamak plasma, have revealed existence a class cold excited atoms, whose probable origin has been ascribed to electron impact-induced molecular dissociation. Associated with these radiators are second group ‘lukewarm’ i.e. atoms heated by elastic collisions hot protons (deuterons) diffusing outward from plasma interior, as well third ‘hot’ produced in corresponding states directly charge-exchange recombination between boundary atoms. A mechanism recently proposed explain heating process quantitatively, terms atom-ion collisions, is applied discussed this paper.
